The accommodation comprises a large Manor House with a large kitchen and sitting room, with room enough for between twelve and eighteen guests. The Manor House has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, while the adjoining accommodation has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Manor provides space for everyone to spend time together, large dining tables both in and outdoors. The additional accommodation allows a degree of separation, allowing the older generation, or family with a baby, has space to escape, should they wish. There is a private heated saltwater pool, 10 x 5 meters. The rear terrace offers views across the garden and adjoining countryside, a lovely outdoor space on which to dine and enjoy watching the stars. Please be aware that the owner does not live at the property, as with a traditional gite, consequently it is private, but if you have an ant invasion (for example) you will need to deal with it yourselves! The managers of the property live a ten minute drive away.

Nature and surroundings

This nature house is centrally located in the Perigord Vert Natural Parc and is a perfect location for those wishing to escape from a busy life. The area is one of woods, lakes and rolling meadows. The bird life is amazing, the wild life is available to even the casual observer and the fishing abundant. Walking, cycling and horse riding are available locally. The night skies are glorious, on a clear night the milky way and a myriad of stars are visible. Our barn contains a table tennis table, badmington, darts and a selection of bikes for guests to use. There is a popular weekly morning market at Piégut-Pluviers, which is about a twenty minute drive. Ancient and modern history abound, the Route de Richard coeur de lion is close-by as is the village where he was fatally wounded. Doumailhac is fairly equidistant from limoges, Perigreux and Angouleme, so the options for visiting any of these beautiful, historic small cities are endless.
