This nature house is a typical Algarve house, just restored, with the traditional facades white and blue, large patios and a beautiful chimney. Quietly located on a large estate, plenty of autochthonous plants, natives of the East Algarve, our house is yet close to the typical towns of Castro Marim (5 kms) or Cacela Velha (10 kms). The renowned golf courses of Castro Marim (6 Kms), Monte Rei (7 kms) or Quinta do Vale (9 km) are close by and the sea with large and beautiful beaches is very close - Praia Verde (6 kms), Praia da Alagoa (7 kms) or Praia de Cacela Velha (10 kms). It accommodates 2 people in 1 double bedroom (queen size bed) with en-suite bathroom. The nature house is composed also by an open plan with a modern kitchen and lounge with rustic furniture and TV. Outside, 3 very well exposed patios with table, reclining chairs and parasol give you the possibility to enjoy the sun in morning or in afternoon.
Nature and surroundings
A stay in our nature house allows a nice experience for nature and bird lovers. In spring our property is plenty of native flowers and you can walk or cycle there, enjoying the views, sounds and smells of nature. The views of the top of our hills are absolutely fantastic, allowing panoramic views of the landscape, the Sapal and salts pans of Castro Marim, the Guadiana River and the sea in background. With wet areas of salt marsh, salt pans and dry areas of schist soils, red clay and arenite, the Sapal of Castro Marim offers an opportunity to observe the different ways in which plants and animals adapt to the natural environment. For most visitors, the reserve biggest attraction is the large number of birds that can be seen there, including storks, avocats, sand pipers, mallards and the ever popular flamingos. Linking the church, the castle and the fort, the streets of Castro Marim are lined with houses whose simplicity is typical of the architecture of the Algarve, and deserve a visit.
