We warmly welcome you to our historic farmhouse in the hills near the picturesque village of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, one of the most beautiful villages in the Dordogne Valley. At Les Cavaleries, you’ll experience the unique combination of the homey atmosphere of a Chambres d’Hôtes with the privacy of a gîte. The spacious and cozy apartment, located in the former wine cellar, is on the ground floor. There is a large living room with an open kitchen, a small hallway leading to the shower and bedroom. The apartment has its own terrace and a seating area in front of the entrance. From the large shared garden at the back, you’ll enjoy views of the hills and the villages and castles across the Dordogne River. There are several seating areas and a sunny garden shed built from old window frames and doors. This nature house is located in the southern part of the Corrèze, in the Dordogne Valley—which we believe is the most beautiful region in France. Les Cavaleries is tucked away in the green hills just a stone’s throw from the picturesque town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and is centrally located among nine villages listed among the most beautiful in France, such as Rocamadour, Collonges-la-Rouge, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Carennac, Curemonte, Turenne, Autoire, Loubressac, and Martel. The surroundings are stunning: the valley, the views, the forests, waterfalls, cliffs, plateaus, caves, castles, and historic villages. Little has changed over the centuries. There are more than 50 hiking trails marked out in the immediate vicinity, and they’re all beautiful. But a must-see—which we recommend to everyone—is the cirque near Autoire!
