Beautiful villa with private pool and stunning views, this naturehouse is a truly romantic hideaway with a spiritual feel. The villa boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms [two on suite] a new kitchen & lounge and cool sitting room in the cantina. Three of the bedrooms have double beds [one a lovely four poster] the other two bedrooms have single beds. There is also a sofa bed and two cots for any babies. There are two external eating areas; one, a vine clad terrace with stunning views to the villages across the valley, the other, a romantic stone hideaway next to an old pizza oven, perfect for watching the fireflies in June. The Villa has central heating and a wood burning fire and stufe, so is perfect for winter and autumn breaks when you can enjoy beautiful walks in the woods full of chestnut trees and porcini. The pool is set to the side of the Villa with terra cotta paving and grass banks with steps leading into the shallow end - perfect for children and elderly relatives.
Nature and surroundings
The area is known as The 'Garfagnana' and is often described as the Lungs of Italy with its tree laden hills and mountains contributing to the freshest of air. Most of the area is a designated national park, full of Deer, wild boar, eagles and a multitude of wild life. Fantastic for walks, biking, mountaineering, canoeing, riding and just relaxing and taking in the scenery. Garfagnana is also known for its food and many types of long forgotten vegetables, fruit and cereals are still grown, eaten and enjoyed in the many splendid restaurants and cafes. Garfagnana is also ideally positioned to explore the history of Tuscany with the splendid walled city of Lucca only 40 kilometres away and Florence an hour and a half away. For those of you that like to take in the beach life, Viareggio and the Tuscan Riviera is an hour away.

Royaal oud huis met veel slaapkamers, niet heel modern maar toch alles aanwezig als beddengoed en handdoeken, tv, wifi, veel keuken spullen behalve magnetron, 2 badkamers etc. Heerlijk zwembad. Gastheer heel attent, heeft goede tips wat er te doen is in de omgeving, lekkers te eten en drinken bij aankomst, al met al heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en Engelssprekend want komt uit de UK. Kleine minpuntjes: Sommige matrassen nogal hard. De weg naar het huisje is smal en met veel bochten en voor een Nederlandse rijder misschien wat lastig, maar het went snel als je het vaker rijdt en de Italianen geven je meestal direct doorgang.
Huisje is ver buiten de bebouwde kom, midden in het middel gebergte van Noord Toscane, met bergen tot boven 1500 meter met veel groen en vegetatie. De omgeving is veel mooier dan op de foto's van de website lijkt.

Huis is groot (wij waren met 9 personen), ruime keuken en slaapkamers. Zwembad is mooi gelegen op een geaccidenteerd terrein met bovenin een hangmat. 2 terrassen waarvan 1 overdekt en een moestuin waar we regelmatig courgettes, aubergines en paprika's konden plukken. Kortom, een geweldig huis met prachtig uitzicht voor een zeer relaxte vakantie. Eigenaar had voor de eerste avond boodschappen gehaald, zeer attent. Supermarkt op ongeveer 20 minuten afstand.
Huis staat in de bergen met een geweldig uitzicht!

Heel mooi huis, prachtig zwembad, groot en heerlijke stoelen er om heen. Romantische mooie plekjes om buiten te zitten ( niet overal super comfortabele stoelen, maar wel ruim en prima)
Hele gastvrije en behulpzame eigenaar. Je voelt je direct helemaal thuis. Ruime kamers, hele fijne keuken. Prima badkamers.
Hertje en vossen gezien in de tuin. Ook 1x een slang en een aantal kleine schorpioentjes. Heerlijke tomaten en courgettes uit eigen tuin.
Met 10 personen prima te verblijven. WiFi in woonkamer en master bedroom prima. Rest van het terrein soms minder bereik.
Kortom heerlijk verblijf, prachtige ligging en fantastisch zwembad.Super mooi, hert en vos gezien. Uitzicht fantastisch !
wel hoor je bij bijzondere wind af en toe een ver in het dal gelegen weg.
