The ideal place to escape the chaos and daily grind of city life, here you can truly lose yourself in the harmony and tranquility of nature, living but a few feet from our stunning organic garden and amongst our wonderfully quirky animals. It is the perfect spot for families, friends or couples and children especially love it here, being surrounded by nature and animals. A stone’s throw from the beautiful freshwater lagoon leading you to the beach via imposing sand dunes.
Nature and surroundings
Bordeira beach is accessible: – By car in four minutes – Walking along the road in 15 minutes – Walking through the dunes along the river 30 minutes– Through the lagoon with our kayaks or the small romantic boat 20 minutes . Other nearby villages with shops, bars and restaurants, a pharmacy, cash machines, a gas station are Aljezur, 19 kilometers to the north or Villa Do Bispo, 16 kilometers to the south. The stunning village of Sagres and the city of Lagos are approximately 30 kilometers to the west and east respectively. Whether you thrive on rural life surrounded by nature and animals, enjoy longs walks in the hills, love taking to the surf or honing your photography skills to land a job with National Geographic, or if you simply love a bit of peace and quiet, a stay at the farm house will not disappoint!

I noticed that it is very nice to have a car here and luckily I was able to rent one on site. The village is within walking distance. You will find nice restaurants. A very small supermarket and a bus stop. The cottage is furnished with everything you need. The only thing I sometimes found inconvenient is that there was no hot water in the morning for a few days. Otherwise it was a lovely place.

Het dorp is op loopafstand. Je vindt er leuke restaurantjes. Een heel klein supermarktje en een bushalte.
Het huisje is ingericht met alles wat je nodig hebt.
Het enige dat ik soms lastig vond is dat er een paar dagen geen warm water was in de ochtend.

Especially if you have a car to drive to different starting points. 1 km away you can go horseback riding. Highly recommended.
Het huisje ligt verscholen tussen bamboe op het erf van een boerderij waar allerlei mensen werken en leven. Als je aankomt kom je over het terrein van de boerderij. Dat ziet er in eerste instantie rommelig uit doordat er aan allerlei oude voertuigen geknutseld wordt. Maar een maal bij het huisje aangekomen is het heerlijk rustig en is er totale rust en privacy. Op 2 minuutjes lopen is een prachtig plekje aan een lagune waar je een kajak kunt gebruiken om richting strand te varen terwijl je langs een hele boel zonnende schildpadden vaart.
Als je afzondering zoekt is het een super plek.
Als je van wandelen houdt is de omgeving heel geschikt. Zeker als je een auto hebt om naar verschillende startplekken te rijden.

The house was very well designed and decorated. Truly unique, practical and homely. Lovely hosts -helpful when needed otherwise left to own devices.
I loved it. I felt like I'd moved to another world surrounded by bamboo ad beautiful flowering shrubs. Interesting farm with lots of geese, ducks and chickens so naturally not absolutely quiet
