Typical stone cottage, very scenic, independent , renovated using mainly original materials. Located in the hamlet of Martassina, in the municipality of Ala di Stura, on a cliff from which there is a unique view of the valley, within walking distance of bar and store. Suitable for one/two couples, or a family of up to 4 people. Maximum tranquility..The lodge is spread over three floors : entrance located on the central floor where you will find the kitchen and dining room; On the ground floor bedroom, bathroom, large panoramic terrace , in the attic , there is a living room that can be converted into a bedroom with 2 places. Heating is provided by a hydro pellet stove while hot water is produced by a solar panel ! HOT TUB and E-BIKE service on reservation . For stays of at least 5 nights one (1) use is included in the price. Fabulous E-bikes are available to guests. 1 Free Use for stays at least 5 nights.
Nature and surroundings
The hamlet Martassina is located 2 km from the village of Ala di Stura, where in addition to several restaurants and stores, , a fishing reserve, a path between sundials, and, in winter, ice skating and a small, quiet winter sports area. Upstream, in nearby Balme, fishing reserve, typical restaurants, pizzerias, vertical labyrinth, and mountain museum. On the valley floor, Pian della Mussa, at an altitude of 1,800 meters, can be reached by car in summer, while in winter it can only be reached on foot, becoming an ideal place for snowshoeing , cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering. Great little house, beautifully renovated by the owner, Paolo. They’ve thought of everything. Very neat, clean, and cool.
Nice garden and balconies—our dog had several spots to lie down.
The hot tub was also fantastic!
We were warmly welcomed with some delicious homemade cookies. Cinzia and Paolo are always available to answer questions and have lots of information about the area.
