Nature house in St Eutrope de Born

Set in the rolling fields of Lot et Garonne, this peaceful clean Gite has been restored from complete dereliction as animal housing. Natural materials and repurposed items have been used throughout to blend the building inside and outside with its local environment. The nature house has an open plan living area has comfortable sofas, a table and chairs and a well equipped kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery. There is a chest full of family games and some books for you to read. Comfortable beds with high quality bedlinen await in the cosy bedrooms. Luxurious towels are supplied for your use, as are pool towels, leaving you extra space in your suitcase. Maintaining the eco theme, the shower room and toilet is equipped with a modern shower and houses a dry toilet. The wet room walls are finished in a natural polished plaster. The gite is ideally situated if you like peace and quiet in a rural location and is an amazing place to look at the stars.

Outside, you will have your own private terrace and garden to relax in and a large above ground swimming pool measuring 10m x 5m that is for your private use. There’s an outdoor table tennis table for the more active members of the family, and a boules set for your use too. Le Perchoir gite is set in rural fields so you can wander through the meadows that are filled with orchids and wildflowers in spring and early summer. As summer progresses, the fields are often ablaze with sunflowers among the orchards of plum and hazelnut trees that the area is famous for. We have butterflies, crickets, grasshoppers and moths all in abundance and on a walk through the woods you may spy the deer passing through. The nightingales sing from April through early summer and we see plenty of owls and buzzards too. Hoopoes and golden orioles visit with their distinctive calls which are easily identifiable.
