For years they have been in love with Greece, more specifically the southern Peloponnese: the Mani. After relatives of theirs moved here permanently, they started looking for a home for themselves. They found an old dilapidated house in a dream of location. Views of the sea and the mountains of the Mani. All the peace and privacy they desired and yet close to the beautiful, lively fishing town of Gythion. The old house was restored in 2007 with great attention to detail. The ceilings are high, it breathes the atmosphere they love. The house can accommodate four people. There are two spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher and oven. There is also a washing machine.
Nature and surroundings
In one of the quietest places on the Peloponnese, in the gentle hills near Gythion, lies the house in complete silence. There is an olive grove, there are almond and citrus trees and an old grape under which it is good to relax. You have a view of the sea and in the distance you can see the barren mountains of the Mani. From the house there are many walks. In the nearby Taigetos Mountains you can do real hiking. Less than a five-minute drive and you are in the fishing village of Gythion, which is lively both summer and winter. You can choose from a variety of restaurants and terraces there. Nearby are large sandy beaches and numerous small ones where hardly anyone comes. In the house is a list of recommendations for restaurants, beaches, walks, places of interest.
