In this nostalgic nature house in the Achterhoek, with large woodland garden all around, you can celebrate vacations with up to four people as if it were always 1968! There are three bedrooms, one of which has a single bed (90x200) (space for a crib if desired), one of which has two single beds (90x200) that can be placed against each other if desired, and one bunk bed. We ask you to bring your own bed, bath and kitchen textiles. There are five single comforters available. The kitchen has a refrigerator with freezer, combination microwave, coffee maker and kettle. The original bathroom is not luxurious, but it is complete and clean. The bright living room houses a dining area, DAB+ radio, TV and vintage seating area. The cottage also has Wi-Fi and a bike storage room with washing machine. The bungalow is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. The interior may differ slightly from the photos.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in a quiet and private recreation area with private vacation homes in the forest. The grounds border on nature reserve Korenburgerveen, owned by Natuurmonumenten. The area is perfect for hiking and cycling in the authentic coulisse landscape, the forests, the wild fens, along winding streams and vineyards. Yet the lively "big city" is nearby; Winterswijk is only two kilometers away, also travelable by public transport. It is a fine village in the Achterhoek, full of good amenities and nice restaurants. Twice a week the cozy commodity market descends at the church. The old quarry near Ratum is known for its fossils and special live animals. Another attraction is recreational lake Hilgelo and the pleasant medieval town of Bredevoort is also nearby. Directly across the German border you will find the Zwillbrocker Venn, where you can even spot flamingos!
