Nature house in Tohogne ( Durbuy )

We really enjoyed our week at this fantastic place. When we arrived here on Friday, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor of the house. Of course, we’d already seen the photos, but in person it’s so much more beautiful! Such creativity, such a warm atmosphere. The welcome was also very warm. We were very grateful for all the information and tips about the area.
We went hiking and biking and visited some charming little towns. The nature is beautiful, and the silence is blissful. It was a wonderful experience to be here. We always looked forward to returning to the cozy house with its beautiful garden; sometimes we didn’t even feel like leaving at all. When you walk in, you do have to climb a flight of stairs to the living area and then another flight to the sleeping area (with a wonderful bed!). And to visit the gorgeous garden, you have to walk around the owners’ house, but none of us minded that at all. It’s truly nothing but pure enjoyment!

Wat hebben we genoten van onze week op deze fantastische plek. Toen we vrijdag hier aankwamen, werden we aangenaam verrast door de prachtige inrichting van het huis. Natuurlijk hadden we al de foto’s gezien, maar in het echt is het zóveel mooier! Wat een creativiteit, wat een warme uitstraling. Ook heel warm was het welkom. We waren heel bij met alle informatie en tips over de omgeving.
We hebben gewandeld en gefietst, leuke stadjes bezocht. De natuur is prachtig, de stilte heerlijk. Het was een geweldige ervaring hier te zijn. We gingen steeds met plezier terug naar het fijne huis met de mooie tuin, hadden soms helemaal geen behoefte weg te gaan. Je moet - als je binnenkomt - wel even de trap op naar het woongedeelte en nog een trap naar het slaapgedeelte (met een heerlijk bed!). En voor een bezoekje aan de schitterende tuin loop je om het huis van de eigenaren, maar dat vonden wij allemaal geen bezwaar. Het is echt alleen maar genieten!

The cottage is located along the road through the hamlet of Longueville. There are almost exclusively farms along this road. As a result, the only traffic consists of tractors and other farm machinery. It’s a wonderful experience—such peace and quiet, and such a beautiful view of the meadows and forests surrounding the house.

Het huisje is gelegen aan de weg door het gehuchtje Longueville. Er zijn vrijwel alleen boerderijen aan deze weg. En het enige verkeer is dan ook van tractoren en andere landbouwmachines. Een geweldige ervaring, wat een rust en wat een mooi uitzicht op de weilanden en bossen om het huis heen.

Nice stay—it's a shame you have to drive to get groceries, but it's not really a downside

Fijn verblijf, jammer dat boodschappen met de auto moet, maar is eigenlijk geen minpunt

We had a very cozy and pleasant stay; everything was well organized. We had great communication with the owners—if we needed anything, they took care of it right away.

Heel erg knus fijn verblijf gehad, alles was goed geregeld. Fijn contact met de eigenaars gehad, miste er iets, werd het gelijk geregeld.
