Nature house in Boksum

We can only recommend the hosts, the cottages and the nature in the surrounding area with its many leisure activities. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful cycle paths between meadows and fields, along numerous small and larger bodies of water, over small and larger bridges, with small ferry boats and through the well-kept villages.

Gastgeber, Häuschen und die Natur in der nahen und weiteren Umgebung mit ihren vielen Freizeitmöglichkeiten können wir nur empfehlen. Uns haben vor allem die wunderschönen Fahrradwege zwischen Wiesen und Feldern, entlang zahlreichen kleiner und größerer Gewässer, über kleine und größere Brücken, mit kleinen Fährbooten und durch die gepflegten Dörfer sehr gefallen.

The cozy cottage is located on a beautiful estate, nestled in the beautiful Frisian countryside. It offers plenty of privacy and tranquillity, but also contact with the very helpful and extremely friendly hosts at any time. Where else can you enjoy the sight and clucking of free-range chickens and take their eggs out of the nest yourself?

Das gemütliche Häuschen liegt auf einem wunderschönen Anwesen, eingebettet in die herrliche friesische Landschaft. Es bietet viel Privatsphäre und Ruhe und doch auch bei Bedarf jederzeit Kontakt zu den sehr hilfsbereiten und überaus freundlichen Gastgebern.
Wo kann man heute sonst noch den Anblick und das Gegacker freilaufender Hühner genießen und sich deren Eier selbst aus dem Nest nehmen.

The cottage in Boksum is an ideal base for discovering beautiful Friesland. Near Leeuwarden, near beautiful villages and towns like Harlingen, Franeker, Sneek and near the nature reserve De Alde Feanen. The road in the neighborhood is occasionally audible, but we did not really bother. The cottage itself is fully equipped, with a lovely terrace and garden.
The owners are also easy to contact for questions and do everything to make your stay a pleasant one. The bakery within walking distance is an added value, delicious fresh bread in the morning (with fresh eggs that you can collect to your heart's content in the henhouse nearby). Perhaps another tip: take a mosquito repellent with you, also for walks in the Alde Feanen :-)

Het huisje in Boksum is een ideale uitvalsbasis om het mooie Friesland te ontdekken.
Vlakbij Leeuwarden, dichtbij mooie dorpen en steden zoals Harlingen, Franeker, Sneek en dichtbij het natuurgebied De Alde Feanen.
De weg in de buurt is af en toe hoorbaar, maar daar stoorden we ons eigenlijk niet aan.

Het huisje zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien, met een zalig terras en tuintje.
De eigenaars zijn ook makkelijk aanspreekbaar bij vragen en doen er alles aan om je een aangenaam verblijf te bezorgen.

De bakker op wandelafstand is een meerwaarde, 's morgens lekker vers brood (met verse eitjes die je zelf naar hartenlust kan rapen in het kippenhok vlakbij).

Misschien nog een tip: neem een muggenwerend middeltje mee, ook voor wandelingen in de Alde Feanen :-)
