The beautiful surroundings with rolling hills, authentic villages and nature, fields of sunflowers and poppies are interspersed with a wealth of cultural, historical and architectural heritage. Plenty of beautiful hiking trails in the vicinity. Cities such as Siena, Montepulciano, Perugia, Asissi, Florence appeal to the imagination and are all nearby. But also the smaller towns like Pienza, Panicale, Castiglione del Lago are more than worth a visit. And of course Lake Trasimeno 8 kilometers away, with excellent restaurants, and various possibilities for water recreation and ferry service. In the vicinity you can buy fresh and ecological vegetables, fruits and olive oil from the local farmer, and what about the numerous local wine growers, where you can tap and taste the wine yourself of course. Tip to go by train to Florence, Siena or Rome from the station of Castiglione del Lago 7 kilometers away and with free parking.
