A short dirt road that seems to end in nothingness and then.... there it is. Behind a large, centuries-old oak tree that seems to play the role of guardian is an old stone farmhouse nestled among tall cypress trees. Inside, the windows become frames: olive, fig and cherry trees, meadows of a thousand colors, and, on the horizon, the gentleness of the Apennine hills. In addition to our apartment, there are two others, both with separate entrances. Each apartment is furnished as if it were our own home, with a style that combines the typical features of Tuscan country houses with elements that represent other places, other times, other journeys, other paths.... A large fireplace overlooking the kitchen inspired the name of the apartment. It has an area of 75 m² and consists of a kitchen with a small balcony, a living room with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a large bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary utensils for cooking.
Nature and surroundings
This natural cottage is located on a hill about six kilometers from the medieval village of Anghiari. It is reached by a winding road that winds among cypresses, oaks, holm oaks, olive trees and cultivated fields that change color from season to season. The surrounding 4.5 hectares of land is partly wooded and partly planted with olive and fruit trees. The location is unique: Anghiari, considered one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy," is located in the corner of Tuscany that borders Umbria and Marche. The attractions are numerous: art cities just a few kilometers away, museums and churches with a rich heritage, small medieval villages, paths that wind through castles, nature parks and forests. But if you prefer peace and quiet, the silence around our house is absolute.
