Nature house in Anghiari

We felt very at home in the nature house. Sandra gave us a warm welcome, complete with delicious pastries. She had given us very clear directions beforehand. She and Luciano are easygoing, friendly, and helpful. For example, they accompanied us to the vet when we needed advice about our dog—which was very helpful since we don’t speak Italian. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room has two comfortable sofas, and the beds in the bedroom were very comfortable. The bathroom is also spacious, with two sinks, a bidet, and a wonderful shower. There are also comfortable lounge chairs for outdoor use.

In short: we’d recommend a stay in this cottage to everyone!

We voelden ons erg op ons gemak in het natuurhuisje. We kregen een hartelijke ontvangst van Sandra, met heerlijk gebak. Eerder had zij ons heel heldere routeaanwijzingen gegeven. Zij en Luciano zijn gemakkelijk in de omgang. vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Zo escorteerden zij ons naar de dierenarts toen we advies nodig hadden voor de hond, heel prettig aangezien we geen Italiaans spreken. We hadden ons geen betere gastvrouw en -heer kunnen wensen.
Het appartement is ruim en comfortabel. De keuken is volledig ingericht, de woonkamer heeft twee goed zittende banken en de bedden in de slaapkamer sliepen prima. Ook de badkamer is ruim, met twee wastafels, een bidet en een heerlijke douche. Verder zijn er comfortabele ligstoelen voor buiten aanwezig.

Kortom: we gunnen iedereen een verblijf in dit huisje!

We highly recommend this house if you love nature, peace and quiet, and authentic villages. The surroundings of this house are, in a word, breathtaking. From the living room and bedroom, you can see for kilometers over the treetops to the hills in the distance. Next to the house is a grassy field dotted with trees, shrubs, and wildflowers—perfect for us to read or listen to birdsong, and for our dog to roam around. It’s incredibly peaceful there; it’s quite remarkable that you can’t hear a single motor vehicle, not even the owners’ car, which is parked a short distance away. You can take a walk along the small roads in the immediate vicinity, or drive to a nature reserve behind Sansepulcro (20 minutes) and go on a day trip. We came across exactly one man with a dog.

Wij bevelen dit huis van harte aan als je van de natuur, rust en authentieke dorpjes houdt. De omgeving waarin dit huis staat is in één woord wonderschoon. Vanuit de woonkamer en slaapkamer kijk je kilometer ver over bomen heen naar heuvels in de verte. Naast het huis is een stuk met gras begroeid land, met bomen, struiken en wilde bloemen; ideaal voor ons om wat te lezen of naar vogelconcerten te luisteren én voor onze hond om er rond te struinen. Het is er super rustig; heel bijzonder dat erg geen enkel gemotoriseerd verkeer te horen is, ook dat van de auto van de eigenaren niet, die een stukje vegerderop ge parkeerd wordt. Je kan in de nabije omgeving over de kleine weggetjes een wandeling maken. dan wel bijvoorbeeld naar een natuurreservaat achter Sansepulcro rijden (20 minuten) en een dagtocht maken. We kwamen er welgeteld één man met hond tegen.

There are three apartments in the house La Doccia. The landlords live under the roof, we lived on the first floor and there is another apartment on the first floor. Sandra is a heavy smoker who smokes in the house. This also permeates the apartments below. Although we had asked her to smoke outside during our stay, she continued to smoke in the house and our apartment always smelled of smoke. The house is so quiet that you can hear the other residents talking and relieving themselves. There is a terrace for the apartment on the 1st floor but it has no view because it is behind the house and there is no sun! It was so cold that we always had to wear thick socks, woolen sweaters and fleece sweaters because there was no heating on despite the cold temperatures. There was also a power cut which meant we had no electricity, water or toilet flushing. Due to the heavy rainfall, the path to the house was almost impassable.

In dem Haus La Doccia gibt es drei Wohnungen. Die Vermieter wohnen unter dem Dach, wir bewohnten den 1.Stock, im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine weitere Ferienwohnung. Sandra ist eine starke Raucherin, die im Haus raucht. Dieser zieht auch in die darunter liegenden Wohnungen. Obwohl wir sie darum gebeten hatten während unseres Aufenthalts draußen zu rauchen, hat sie weiterhin im Haus geraucht und unsere Wohnung hat immer nach Rauch gestunken. Das Haus ist so hellhörig, dass man die anderen Bewohner reden und ihre Notdurft verrichten hört. Für die Wohnung im 1. Stock gibt es zwar eine Terrasse aber sie gat keinen Ausblick, weil hinter dem Haus und keine Sonne! Es war so kalt, dass wir immer dicke Socken, wollpullover und Fleecepulli tragen mussten weil trotz kalter Temperaturen keine Heizung an war. Außerdem gab es einen Stromausfall aufgrund dessen wir werder Strom, noch Wasser noch Toilettenspülung hatten. Durch die vielen Regenfälle war der Weg zum Haus fast nicht mehr passierbar.

The house is situated in the middle of beautiful wooded hills, not far from Anghiari. It is wonderfully quiet around the house and the nature is impressively beautiful. The view from the windows of the second floor of the house we stayed in is breathtaking.

Das Haus liegt in Mitten wunderschöner bewaldeter Hügel, unweit von Anghiari. Es ist wundervoll ruhig um das Haus herum und due Natur beeindrucken schön. Der Blick vom ersten Stock des Hauses, in dem wir gewohnt haben, aus den Fenstern ist atemberaubend.

Excellent overall experience. My only remark is that the beds could have been a bit more comofortable.

It is an amazing house in a lovely place!
