Nature house in Villafranca de los Caballeros

This naturehouse is located on the shore of the Laguna Grande de Villafranca de los Caballeros (Toledo). The house is composed of 5 apartments, which have a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and terrace. The common areas are a large living room with fireplace, where there is a small library and games for children, and an outdoor terrace with a small garden, where there is a barbecue, darts, table soccer, bicycles, etc..

Included within the so-called Wetlands, the municipality of Villafranca de los Caballeros has one of the most ecologically important wetlands in the entire Castilian-La Mancha region, a refuge for fauna and declared a Biosphere Reserve. They are an ecosystem formed by lagoons of endorheic and fluvial origin that are supplied by runoff water, direct precipitation, contributions from Aquifer 20 or water concessions from the Guigüela River. The Laguna Grande is used for recreational purposes, so its natural characteristics have been partly modified, and the natural wealth of the whole is mainly centered in the Laguna Chica. The Laguna Grande is one of the largest fluvial lagoons in La Mancha. It is a tourist and recreational center of the first order, with an important hotel infrastructure where the medicinal qualities of its waters can be taken advantage of. Its shores, with 2.5 km of beach, are a refreshing oasis in the summer months.
