Nature house in Bakkakot Cabins

They built this cozy (16m²) cabin in 2018. It is located in their wooded area in the Icelandic countryside. The cabin is heated with geothermal energy and features a shower room with sink and toilet and a studio-style sleeping and kitchen area. There is a double bed, table and chairs, TV, DVD player with DVDs, games, books, radio/CD player, electric stove, refrigerator, sink, toaster, kettle, hotspot Wi-Fi, pans, dishes, etc. There is a terrace around the cabin and guests are welcome to walk through the woods.

Just 24 kilometers from the city of Akureyri Bakkakot Cabins are located in our wooded garden. The perfect location to relax and enjoy nature and everything the area has to offer. There are mountains all around and we are also located on the edge of a fjord. A short walk will take you to the fishing village of Hjalteyri where they offer kayak rentals in the summer and it is possible to relax in the hot tub or go whale watching. Iceland is home to the midnight sun and the northern lights and Bakkakot is the perfect place to enjoy Icelandic nature.
