The nature house is tucked away among the greenery of two historic country estates. This semi-detached home was originally located in the village. The plaque depicting The Good Samaritan above the door still serves as a reminder of this. So does the distinctive fireplace, which was donated by the Association of General Practitioners when the house was built; the living room served as the waiting room at the time. The house, with its high, colored ceilings, has windows on all sides, enhancing the connection to the outdoors. The garden (east-facing; no evening sun) is located at the front of the house and is bordered on all sides by an evergreen hedge, ensuring your privacy at all times. Smoking indoors is not permitted. During the winter months, the fireplace may be used after consulting with the landlord; please bring your own firewood.

The nature house is a five-minute walk from the Westerschelde, where the small harbor and the Ellewoutsdijk fort are located. Behind the dike lies a protected bird sanctuary. Various beaches and Lake Veere are also within a half-hour drive. By bike, you can reach the beaches of Baarland or Kaloot—where you can go kitesurfing—in 20 minutes. Using the toll-free Westerschelde Tunnel, Antwerp, Ghent, and Bruges are just under an hour away. Even Lille is an easy drive away.
