Nature house in Jumilhac-le-Grand

In the rugged north of the Dordogne, away from the tourist masses, lies this nature house where peace and cosiness have gone hand in hand since the Middle Ages. On the wooded nature field you will find a real Mongolian Yurt. Camping in this round nomadic tent is a special and restful experience. A yurt is a clever construction of pine poles, leather straps and wood wicker. With a floor area of 37 square meters, the landlords' is a sizeable specimen. The tent is spanned with cotton cloth and insulated with Yak felt. Its round shape, large skylight and natural materials make camping in a Yurt a special and soothing experience.

La Rhue is a small estate in the middle of the Parque Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin nature reserve. Our medieval castle farm is surrounded by dense deciduous forests and grassy meadows, where the characteristic brown Limousin cattle graze. The number of springs that spring here cannot be counted. Even in our courtyard the water squirts right out of the ground! Eventually it flows into wide rivers, but deep underground it also forms beautiful caves. There are fantastic hiking trails in the area. The landlords have walked many of them and are happy to give you advice! You can also enjoy swimming, cycling and kayaking in the area. And on the estate, hidden in a ruin, you will find a lovely swimming pool.
