This nature house for two (40 m²) on the ground floor has a direct view of the pool and gets the morning sun first thing. Here you overlook the gently rolling hills of Umbria, surrounded by nature, perfectly quiet between Orvieto, Todi and Perugia, perfectly halfway between Rome and Florence and near the border with Tuscany. During the renovation, the landlord has preserved the authenticity and rustic charm of the old small "castle" from the XVII century. There is a hall, a sitting room with wood stove and double bed, a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Right by the cottage is a private terrace in the garden with a beautiful view over the pool and the green and wooded valley. The spacious swimming pool of 6x17 meters is shared with any other residents of the agriturismo. There is a petanque court, table tennis table and you can do archery. The landlords are Italian and Dutch. They will be happy to advise you about special trips, local restaurants, stores (10 kilometers), wine and olive oil tasting or horseback riding at a riding school and whatever else is needed for a wonderful stay.

This is a fantastic area to explore on foot or by mountain bike the quiet Umbrian countryside with its hilltops, valleys, forests with streams and waterfalls. The area, far from any industrial influence, falls under the nature reserve "STINA", Monte Peglia and Selva di Meana and will be a surprising discovery for nature lovers. If you are lucky, on a walk you might come across a wild boar, a porcupine, hares, a deer, squirrels and foxes. Locals often forage for mushrooms, truffles and asparagus. During the dark evenings of June, you can see thousands of fireflies in the bushes. At night you can only hear owls and nightingales. The area of Monte Peglia was recently declared a World Reserve of the MAB Unesco Biosphere. In short, this nature house is an ideal place to catch your breath again, lazing in the large garden with a good book and bird sounds in the background. Near Montegiove is "La Scarzuola", ex Franciscan monastery, founded in 1218 by Francis of Assisi and bought in 1956 by the Milanese architect Tomaso Buzzi, founder of the very special open-air theater complex.
