Nature and surroundings
The absence of tourists, the lack of the feeling of having landed in an open-air museum, but in a lively region full of small-scale charm. Le Marche (pronounced leh markèh) was for centuries the granary of the Vatican. From the house you overlook hills and valleys with a patchwork of sunflower fields, vineyards and olive groves with the peaks of the Sibillini Mountains in the background. The peace and quiet around the house are interrupted in spring and autumn by the bells of the herd of goats that pass by twice a day.
