The nature house is in Friesland and is located at the three-province point with Drenthe and Overijssel. The nature house is a former Theehus and stands next to 't Skoallehus, a teacher's house from 1860 where the landlords live. You have your own cottage with its own terrace from where you have a beautiful view of the garden, where you can still see the stars in the evening and wake up in the morning by just the birds. Even in the winter months it is good to stay, the house has air conditioning. Breakfast is possible, please indicate this after you have made the reservation. Cost: € 12.50 per person. The extensive breakfast is served in the cottage! As an extra service the landlords also rent out bicycles, please also indicate after booking if you want to use this.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located right on the nature reserve ''Heerlijkheid de Eese'', a UNESCO World Heritage Site! A beautiful nature reserve where you are more likely to encounter the deer than humans. Here you can go for lovely walks. But also nearby are roads to such places as Giethoorn (about 15 minutes) or for skating enthusiasts Heerenveen (about 20 minutes), Havelte with its dolmens and the Drents-Friese Forest. Bicycle routes abound here and we are near intersection 85. Besides the cycling routes we are in the middle of the colonies of Weldadigheid and its "roots" can be seen in the Museum in Frederiksoord. In short; quiet and yet central!
