Our arrival by car in the middle of the night was a bit nerve-wracking, but luckily we were escorted upstairs. When Ieneke and Alessandro gave us some background information the next day, we immediately felt connected to the surroundings. You can tell from everything that an incredible amount of care and attention has been put into this place.

The cottage is built so that it’s set back from the neighboring property, which ensures plenty of privacy. You really feel like you’re alone in the world for a moment. The pool was wonderful, though of course it was still a bit cold at the end of April. Thanks to the good screens on the windows, we also weren’t bothered by insects at all.

The only minor issue was that the water in the kitchen sink drained a bit slowly. Other than that, everything was absolutely great!

Onze aankomst midden in de nacht met de auto was even spannend, maar gelukkig werden we begeleid naar boven. Toen we de volgende dag achtergrondinformatie kregen van Ieneke en Alessandro, voelden we ons meteen verbonden met de omgeving. Je merkt aan alles dat er ontzettend veel zorg en aandacht in deze plek is gestoken.

Het huisje is zo gebouwd dat het is weggedraaid van het pand ernaast wat zorgt voor veel privacy. Je voelt je echt even alleen op de wereld. Het zwembad was heerlijk, al was het eind april natuurlijk nog wel een beetje koud. Dankzij de goede horren voor de ramen hebben we bovendien totaal geen last gehad van insecten.

Het enige kleine puntje was dat het water in de keukengootsteen wat langzaam wegspoelde. Verder was alles top in orde!

Wow! What a wonderful place to spend your vacation. The view over the valley, with the village of Valdottavo nestled within it, is breathtaking; you could easily spend an hour just gazing out at the beautiful surroundings. On cloudy days, you sometimes even find yourself above an impressive blanket of clouds.

The cottage has two floors, with the bedrooms and bathroom on the First floor. It stays wonderfully cool inside on hot days. The terrace is also ideally located: thanks to the surrounding trees, you’ll find both sun and shade throughout the day.

The cottage is truly equipped with every convenience, and everything you could possibly think of is provided (right down to tape!). The kitchen is also perfect for trying your hand at making an authentic Italian pasta dish. For dog owners, this is paradise. The surrounding forests are lovely, and a great walking trail starts right around the corner. Plus, they have a lively friend in Alba—an Italian Spinone.

We’re already thinking about booking again next year!

Wauw! Wat een geweldige plek om je vakantie te vieren. Het uitzicht over het dal met daarin het dorpje Valdottavo is adembenemend; je kunt zomaar een uur voor je uit staren naar de prachtige omgeving. Op bewolkte dagen bevind je je soms zelfs boven een indrukwekkend deken van wolken.

Het huisje heeft twee verdiepingen, met de slaapkamers en de badkamer op de eerste etage. Binnen blijft het op warme dagen heerlijk koel. Ook de ligging van het terras is ideaal: dankzij de bomen rondom vind je de hele dag door zowel zon als schaduw.

De woning is werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien en wat je je maar bedenken kunt is aanwezig (tot aan plakband toe!). De keuken is ook perfect om je eens aan een originele italiaanse pasta te wagen. Voor hondenbezitters is dit een paradijs. De bossen rondom zijn heerlijk en net om de hoek start direct een fijne uitlaatroute. Bovendien hebben ze een snelle vriendin in Alba, de Italiaanse Spinone.

We overwegen al om een volgend jaar opnieuw te boeken!

We really enjoyed our little family (1 baby, 1 dog) here. Not only the beautiful surroundings, but also the cozy and not too small house equipped with all the necessary luxury. Thanks to Alessandro also for immediately responding to small requests for help.

Wij hebben met ons kleine gezinnetje (1 baby, 1 hond) hier erg genoten. Niet alleen van de prachtige omgeving, ook van het sfeervolle en niet te kleine huis dat voorzien is van alle nodige luxe. Dank aan Alessandro ook voor direct inspringen op kleine hulpvragen

The cottage is located at the end of a road that leads into the mountains. Peace, space and nature guaranteed. We were also lucky that there was no one in the 2nd cottage on the property. Huge garden with beautiful pool so all to ourselves.

Het huisje ligt aan het einde van een weggetje dat de bergen in voert. Rust, ruimte en natuur gegarandeerd. Wij hadden ook het geluk dat er in het 2e huisje op het terrein niemand zat. Enorme tuin met mooi zwembad dus helemaal voor onszelf.
