The area is ideal if you love sun and beach (Ventimiglia, Bordighera, Vallecrosia, Sanremo), but also if you want to experience the real Italian culture in the villages a little more inland. Dolceacqua, Pigna, Roccheta and Airole are typical villages where the Italian still lives as he used to. Across the border in France (about 30 minutes away) are more the glitz and glamour cities like Menton, Monaco and Nice. The house is 45 minutes from Nice airport, where Transavia, Easyjet and KLM fly daily.
