In the southwest of the Dordogne lies our former farmhouse with stables, barns and private pool. The former tobacco barn is now an outdoor kitchen, and in the field behind the fig tree there is now an 8 x 3.5 meter swimming pool with generous, partly covered terrace with sun beds and an outdoor shower. House and outbuildings are situated on one and a half acres of land that is partly on loan to one of the farmers in the area. In the main house is the living room of 11 x 6 meters, with on one side the kitchen with 10-seater dining table, and at the other end the sitting area with 5-seater corner sofa, comfortable armchair and large fireplace. In one corner hangs a TV screen with Chromecast. On the upper floor: a desk corner, the bathroom (shower and two sinks) and the toilet. Attached to the main house: the utility room and two bedrooms, each with private bathroom, private access and private terrace. The staircase in the utility room leads to the attic, with 5 (children's) beds and many toys.

The house consists of a main house with two attached bedrooms, each with its own entrance and bathroom. Opposite the house is the covered outdoor kitchen with two barns and a covered garage for two cars. A little further away, somewhat hidden, is the terrace with swimming pool. The hilly landscape here is defined by small-scale agriculture, interspersed with forests. The towns are often centuries old; the closest one (Monpazier), for example, dates from the Hundred Years' War. The village five hundred meters away consists of only a small church (plusminus XIIth century), one dilapidated manor house and a schoolhouse that now serves as a home. Our house is on an unpaved path that leads to the narrow asphalt road that connects the village to a departmental road. On this small road, cars both have to go halfway onto the shoulder to pass each other. Public lighting is lacking in our valley, only moon and stars illuminate the night here.
