Bakkeveen is a small, cozy village near the three-province point of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe that is two kilometers from the nature house. It is an ideal base for a cycling or hiking vacation. There is a large junction network of hiking and cycling trails. All kinds of beautiful places to discover. The beautiful Mandefjild with bare dunes and moorland is practically in the backyard. In Bakkeveen you will find all important facilities such as stores, swimming pool, doctor and pharmacy. The three northern provinces have much to offer in terms of art, culture and nature. The capitals Leeuwarden, Groningen and Assen with three impressive museums and old city centers are well worth a visit. The nature house is a seven-minute drive from the A7 (Frieschepalen exit).
