Nature and surroundings
Maboge is an idyllic village about 7 km from La Roche. Nature lovers are definitely at the right place! The house is not accessible by car (parking at +/- 100 m) which makes it blissfully quiet. The Ourthe runs right in front of the door. From the terrace you can watch the water flow by. You might even see a beaver! Many walks and MTB routes pass by in Maboge. So sports enthusiasts are also sure to get their money's worth here. During the winter months, you can ski and downhill ski in Samrée, Baraque de Fraiture,... Excursions are nearby: La Roche with its pleasant town, castle, wildlife park, Parc Chlorofyl, Achouffe, Lake Nisramont, Le herou, Bastogne, Houffalize, ... or just read a book from the terrace. A simply furnished, charming house—it's wonderful to have breakfast on the terrace in the morning.

It was a beautifully situated cottage—it had everything we needed! A lovely view of the river, where a beaver swam by every evening. Despite the heat, it cooled down nicely at night. We weren’t able to go on many walks because it was too hot. We’ll definitely do this again and hope to stay here once more!
