This beautiful nature house is my home. Since retiring, I’ve been traveling a lot, and I’d like others to enjoy my lovely home and enormous garden. The garden is about the size of 25 tennis courts. There are several French doors and terraces, one of which is covered and features a fireplace. The ground floor is spacious and bright, with large windows and a great view of the garden and the pond. There are games and books, and the kitchen has a coffee/tea/sugar/spice cabinet available. Upstairs are three simple bedrooms, accessible via a rather steep staircase (very large suitcases aren’t practical here). Of course, bedding and towels are provided specifically for guests. One storage room and a few closets are locked due to my personal belongings when I am traveling. One neighbor also uses the driveway. She will respect your privacy. I kindly ask you to respect hers as well. A different arrival or departure day is negotiable.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village of Epe. From the spacious living room, you have a view of the garden and the pond. Two centuries-old linden trees provide shade and a cool retreat. Beneath them are a swing and a small slide. There’s plenty to see and do: lots of birds (sometimes a kingfisher), fish, frogs, toads, salamanders, squirrels, bats, and badgers. Miniature sheep graze at the back of the garden. Children are allowed to feed the sheep and the fish. (Well, okay, adults too ;) ). Depending on the season, you may be able to harvest strawberries, raspberries, apples, pears, fava beans, lettuce, and various herbs. It’s a nice walk to the sheepfold on the Eperheide, just over an hour. Pancake house De Ossenstal is an hour’s walk through the woods. By bike, you can quickly reach the Tongeren and Gortel estates, Heerderstrand (great for swimming), the Donkey Farm, or the Trout Farm. The village center, with its many cozy terraces and restaurants, is less than a 10-minute walk away.

Lovely weekend had in beautifully located nature house of Duco. With 6 pensionados had a great time. Stairs up a bit steep and unfortunately no toilet on the floor but the spacious living room-kitchen made up for that.
Heerlijk weekend gehad in prachtig gelegen natuurhuisje van Duco. Met 6 pensionado´s geweldige tijd gehad. Trap naar boven beetje stijl en jammer genoeg geen wc op de verdieping maar de ruime woonkamer-keuken maakte dat ruimschoots goed.

Wonderful location. The house is very spacious and everything is there. 1 bedroom on the small side. Less suitable for 3 couples. Upstairs smelled very musty and remained so.
