    Het huisje is heel ruim en comfortabel. Goede bedden, een fijne badkamer en een zeer goed uitgerust keuken. Het contact met de eigenaars verliep via whatsapp, dat maakte het wel onpersoonlijk.     Het huisje heeft een prachtig uitzicht over de tuin en daarachter velden en heuvels, daar hebben we echt van genoten. Het is ongelooflijk stil, het ligt in een achteraf straatje in een rustig dorp. De natuur is prachtig, hoewel in bepaalde delen van het nationaal park nog veel dode sparren staan. Er wordt hard gewerkt aan het opruimen en nieuwe aanplant. Wij hebben geen wild gezien in de 2,5 week dat we in de Harz verbleven hoewel er heel veel moet zijn. Ook maar weinig vogels gezien.
    Er zijn heel veel wandelroutes, het is vrijwel overal flink steil, zelfs zgn lichte wandelingen zijn behoorlijk pittig daardoor.
