The small cabin can accommodate four people. The cabin has the basic amenities. The small cabins are located so on the grounds that they have plenty of privacy and wide views over the fields. The cabin has its own bathroom and heating. The living area has a simple kitchen with refrigerator, four-burner stove, filter coffee maker, pots, pans and dishes. A dining area and a 4-person sleeping platform (four times 80 x 200) complete the cabin. Pillows and single comforters are provided. Bed and bath linen is optional for rent. On the private terrace are 2 chairs, a garden bench, a table and a wood stove. Wood is for sale. Sandwiches, breakfast and/or cheese fondue can be ordered on site for the next day (or reserved before arrival). Our park has a covered fire hut, animal pasture, swimming and fishing water. National Park Lauwersmeer and island of Schiermonnikoog is only 13 kilometers. The cottage is located in an agricultural area. See also nature houses 36064 and 36065.
Nature and surroundings
Sleep between sky and land. The Wadden Sea, Unesco World Heritage Site, is almost in the backyard. The reflection of the sea creates imposing clouds and a special light over the landscape. The Hogeland of Groningen has often been sung about, described, painted and photographed. It is enjoyable with the wind through your hair. In the evening you can enjoy a crackling fire on the terrace in front of your cabin. You can look at the stars for hours. National Park Lauwersmeer became the second Dark Sky Park in the Netherlands in 2016. As soon as it gets dark, you can see the bats flying. From Molenrij there are many nice trips to make. One such trip is to visit the beautiful, natural island of Schiermonnikoog. The Wadden Sea with salt marshes, polders and dikes define the coastline. You can see for many miles here without being hindered by horizon pollution. The nearby National Park is a foraging and/or breeding ground for many migratory birds.

We especially enjoyed the view from the cabin. Saw a hare, deer and several birds.
