Nature house in Waimes/Weismes (Libômont)

Our overall experience with this family home was very positive. The location is beautiful and the house has a unique atmosphere because of the many stairs and small rooms. For the children it was a play paradise with numerous places to hide. Although the house and furnishings are somewhat outdated, this was more than made up for by the excellent cleaning and care. We felt welcomed by the friendly reception of the manager and had a nice and relaxing stay with our group.

Onze algemene ervaring met dit familiehuis was heel positief. De ligging is prachtig en het huis heeft een unieke sfeer door de vele trappetjes en kleine kamertjes. Voor de kinderen was het een speelparadijs met talloze plekjes om te verstoppen. Hoewel het huis en de inboedel wat verouderd zijn, werd dat ruimschoots goedgemaakt door de uitstekende schoonmaak en verzorging. We voelden ons welkom door het vriendelijke ontvangst van de beheerder en hebben met onze groep een fijn en ontspannen verblijf gehad.

We stayed with 20 people in this family house and enjoyed the beautiful location immensely. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the manager (he speaks French and a little German). The house takes some getting used to because of the many stairs and small rooms, but that makes it special and for the children extra fun because of the many hiding places. A big compliment for the hygiene: although the house and the furniture are somewhat dated, everything was neatly clean and cared for. All in all an attractive house in a beautiful place, ideal for a stay with a larger group.

We verbleven met 20 personen in dit familiehuis en hebben enorm genoten van de prachtige ligging. Bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen door de beheerder (hij spreekt Frans en een beetje Duits). Het huis is even wennen door de vele trappetjes en kleine kamertjes, maar juist dat maakt het bijzonder en voor de kinderen extra leuk door de talloze verstopplekjes.

Een groot compliment voor de hygiëne: hoewel het huis en de inboedel wat gedateerd zijn, was alles keurig schoon en verzorgd. Al met al een sfeervol huis op een mooie plek, ideaal voor een verblijf met een grotere groep.

gezellig en authentiek maar ook gehorig en doorleefd/aanrader als je niet met de volle capaciteit erin trekt want er zijn uiteindelijk 11 kamers waarvan enkele hele grote groepskamers die voor koppels minder aangenaam zijn.

4 stars for the peace, space and nature in the area. Powerful view. Inside cozy, a little worn out but nice not to see a classic vacation home for large groups, here authentic and lived-in. Villa Kakelbont content: find your room and live the building know during the weekend. Kitchen not suitable for large groups so menu adaptation is best: simplicity adorns.

4 sterren voor de rust, ruimte en natuur in de omgeving. Machtig uitzicht. Binnen gezellig, wel beetje uitgeleefd maar leuk eens geen klassiek vakantiehuis voor grote groepen, hier authentiek en doorleefd. Villa Kakelbont-gehalte: zoek je kamer en leef het gebouw kennen tijdens het weekend. Keuken niet geschikt voor grote groepen dus menu aanpassen best: eenvoud siert.

The house is much too small for a large group, especially the living space on the ground floor. There are other sitting areas, though. But when you go on a family weekend you still want to sit together.

Het huis is veel te klein voor een grote groep, vooral de leefruimte op het gelijkvloers. Er zijn wel andere zithoekjes. Maar als je op familieweekend gaat wil je toch samenzitten.
