The nature house is located in a dead-end street, in a Lorraine village where it is still really quiet and peaceful. If you want to relax in an environment of nature, woods and meadows, if you come for walking and cycling, with family or friends, for nature exploration, this is the right cottage. The gîte was formerly a small farmhouse, built in 1792, but in such a dilapidated condition that a thorough renovation was necessary. It has been converted into a house, equipped with all everyday comforts, three bedrooms, bathroom, spacious living room, terrace and garden of 350 m². The entrance hall (25 m²) can even be used as a separate living space. Children can play in the garden, but also in the street. Where else can you do that?
Nature and surroundings
The gîte is located in a large rural area in northeastern France. Because there is no industry and the population density is barely 10 inhabitants per km², this is an area where there is still real silence, no traffic, endless hiking trails, wild boars and deer, badgers and even raccoons find a quiet habitat here. Between the villages there is rarely housing, which means that there are always kilometers of forests and meadows. If you want to follow the migration of the cranes, near Dombras houses a colony. The forest has a rich variety of vegetation, but is mainly deciduous. Strictly controlled by the ONF, the state organization of foresters.
