Nature house in Biel ( VS)

We had a wonderful week in this house. It is really fully equipped. You have a beautiful view from the house. It is in a lovely quiet location with several hiking trails from the house.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huis. Het is echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht vanuit het huis. Het is op een heerlijk rustige locatie met diverse wandelpaden vanaf het huis.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huis. Het is echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht vanuit het huis. Het is op een heerlijk rustige locatie met diverse wandelpaden vanaf het huis.

The house itself is spacious, complete and with a well-equipped kitchen. It takes some getting used to the fact that bedrooms, bathroom and toilet are downstairs, while you live upstairs. For somewhat older people, a shower in a bathtub is a bit awkward. We slept very well in the double bed. Only thing we missed was mood lighting. There was enough light, but mostly functional. The view is beautiful.

Het huis zelf is ruim, compleet en met een goed geoutilleerde keuken. Even wennen dat slaapkamers, badkamer en toilet beneden zijn, terwijl je boven leeft. Voor wat oudere mensen is een douche in een bad wat onhandig. Wij sliepen heel goed in het tweepersoonsbed. Enige dat we mistten was sfeerverlichting. Er was genoeg licht, maar vooral functioneel. Het uitzicht is prachtig.

Cottage is on a mountainside, surrounded by other houses (where there were no or few people) near a village (no stores, though a train station) that is on a through road. The end of May turned out to be something of an in-between season here, so many stores and cafes were still closed. The area offers many opportunities for hiking, and the villages in that area are worth visiting. Swiss nature is beautiful, especially the fields full of wild blooming flowers. It is clean everywhere and everything is perfectly organized: the train here just runs on time.

Huisje ligt tegen een berghelling, omgeven door andere huizen (waar geen of weinig mensen waren) bij een dorpje (geen winkels, wel een station) dat aan een doorgaande weg ligt. Eind mei bleek hier een soort tussenseizoen, waardoor nog veel winkels en café’s gesloten waren. De omgeving biedt veel mogelijkheden om wandelingen te maken, en de dorpjes in die omgeving zijn de moeite waard om te bezoeken. De Zwitserse natuur is prachtig, vooral de velden vol wilde bloeiende bloemen. Het is overal schoon en alles is perfect georganiseerd: de trein rijdt hier gewoon op tijd.

Beautiful surroundings with lots of peace and quiet. From the house the road was quite audible so sitting on the balcony was perceived as less quiet.

Prachtige omgeving met veel rust. Vanuit het huis was de weg goed hoorbaar waardoor op het balkon zitten als minder rustig wordt ervaren.
