On its own 5-hectare finca with olive and almond trees lies the 19th-century masía (country house). The nature house is detached, facing south and overlooks a quiet, green valley in unspoiled nature. The house is located about a hundred meters outside the village and is easily accessible by car via a paved road. The house is a large family house (very suitable for two families) that can amply accommodate eight people. On the ground floor (150 m²), the hall gives access to the living room with comfortable sofas and chairs by a large wood stove for winter. There are French doors to the courtyard and to the garden with a large covered terrace with a view. The large dining table is in the equipped kitchen with dishwasher, pantry and utility room with washing machine. Upstairs (150 m²) are five large bedrooms with new (2024) king-size beds. There are two bathrooms and three toilets. Private parking available. Free WiFi.
Nature and surroundings
Juseu is an authentic mountain village at the foot of the Spanish Pyrenees in the Ribagorza area of the province of Huesca in Aragon. The village is situated on an elongated rock at ± 800 meters altitude. You have magnificent views in all directions. Directly from the nature house long hikes can be made in an overwhelming silence and beautiful nature. Juseu lies on the GR-18, in an area with ancient paths that lead to other villages, Romanesque churches and sometimes abandoned monasteries. The Mediterranean mountain landscape (with many almond and olive trees) is alternately rolling and then rocky steep. In many places you can take a bath in streams and mountain rivers. You can also swim in the lake of Joaquin Costa (15 minutes driving distance) where the mountain river Esera flows. In the summer months, canoes and pedal boats are rented here. Furthermore, it is a perfect area for outdoor activities such as rafting, canyoning, via ferrata, tirolina and paragliding.
