Nature and surroundings

From your chalet at Park Reewold you walk straight into the Veluwe nature. The enchanting Speulderbos - known for its mysterious "dancing trees" - is practically around the corner and invites endless walks through ancient forests. A little further on you will discover Landgoed Schovenhorst, with its unique tree gardens, impressive forest tower and an oasis of peace and greenery. The area is rich in well-marked hiking trails that you can pick up right from the cottage. Whether you choose a short nature walk or a long route through forest, heath and sand drifts: here the adventure literally starts at the front door. Oh - and don't forget to treat yourself to a steaming pancake after a walk at the fairytale Boshuis Drie.

The cottage is fully equipped. But a little bit backward. Otherwise very extensive. Bathroom is very small but that can't be helped. Master bedroom is really spacious with extra long bed. Kitchen utensils sufficiently present, lp player, games, books and tips for seeing the area. Very nice! We did find that it was quite dusty. It could do with a thorough cleaning. And not only the floors but also the walls, ceilings, sockets and around and behind the radiators. Also the curtains, rugs and couch could use a refresh. I have been groggy. If that is kept up it is otherwise a very nice house!!! Nice light and nice chairs. Response from landlord: Dear Bianca, What a pity that you suffered so much from sneezing. The Veluwe consists of sandy soil and the forest, the garden and the trees around it are elements that you can not completely magic away. The sofa (one year old) has removable covers which, as well as the curtains, are washed regularly, so it is unfortunate that you experienced that as overdue. Also, everything is regularly cleaned, but apparently we cannot get it 100% free of dust.

Glad you enjoyed the surroundings and facilities!

It was a quiet place in green surroundings. Didn't see much of nature because we did other things outdoors
