Our B&B is very rural and has unobstructed views of the surrounding Grunneger countryside. Here you experience the seasons to the fullest and almost every day you can enjoy beautiful clouds and flaming sunsets. All around there is plenty of space and you have complete freedom. The cottage is surrounded by grass and farmland, with a view of the Tichelberg, a remnant of a boulder mound from the last ice age. There is free Wi-Fi. It is compact (24 m2) but comfortably furnished with a convenient kitchen, dining area, double box-spring bed and private bathroom. Outside a terrace and several barbecue options. The room can accommodate up to two people. It can be optionally booked with or without breakfast. We are also happy to provide a lunch, packed lunch or 3-course meal. Dogs are welcome, provided they are social to people and other animals, but excluding uncastrated males. Our location is 100% smoke-free, this also applies to the immediate surroundings of B&B / house.

The nature house is located on the border of the beautiful, small-scale Westerwolde and the vast peat-colonial country. Regional center Stadskanaal is 8 km away, the village Alteveer 3 km. From the cottage, walks can be made through the farmland. We are connected to the bicycle network and Westerwolde can be easily discovered by bicycle. Nature is always nearby: you will find the forests around Ter Apel, Sellingen or Gieten, in North Groningen the Lauwersmeer area and the Wadden coast. A day trip to Schiermonnikoog or Borcum is also worthwhile. The cities of Groningen, Assen and Emmen are only 30 car minutes away. Here you will find a wide range of cultural activities, you can go shopping or enjoy an extensive choice of culinary eateries.
