In the Drents-Friese Woud is good recreation and that certainly succeeds from this nature house. The nature house is located in the yard of a residential farm, which covers a total of 2100 m². If you are looking for peace, nature and an extensive cycling and hiking area, then you will certainly come into your own here. The cottage is located about 400 meters from the road, is hidden behind the trees and greenery and has its own entrance. Despite the many trees you have an unobstructed view over the meadow. Downstairs you enter the spacious hall with on the right the bathroom with shower, double sink and toilet. If you walk through, you come into the spacious living room with patio doors to the terrace. The living room flows into the open kitchen, which is fully equipped. Upstairs are two bedrooms with a total of two double beds, a single bed and a crib. The nature house is basically for five people, but there are two more sofa beds in the living room that can be used.

Nature and surroundings

You can discover the beautiful residential area from the nature house while cycling and walking. So you find yourself among the trees and so you come out on the moors or see the meadows with sheep and cows. In the vacation cottage is the junction map of the area for walkers and cyclists ready for use. In the immediate vicinity are several nature reserves, such as the Old Bosch with the Freulevijver, the Duurswouderheide with the pingoruïnes (pools formed in the ice age) and the Koningsdiep with its stream valley. Besides the particularly varied nature, the villages of Beetsterszwaag, Gorredijk and Veenhuizen with the Prison Museum and the typical buildings of the Colony of Weldadigheid are definitely worth a visit. The area actually offers something for everyone: good restaurants, terraces, nice sneup shops and for the children there is also plenty to do. All these aspects will certainly make your/your stay a success.

Lovely secluded cottage with lots of peace and nature around it. Lots of wildlife seen and also in the area many fun things to do such as Drents-Friese Wold etc. We really enjoyed it. Very friendly landlords who thought of everything in advance regarding the safety of the children.
