Nature house in Vikersund

A very nice cozy house with very good beds. House is very neat and very clean. A nice wooden terrace around the house with lots of seating areas. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A beautiful route through the woods takes you to a cottage near a lake with a jetty. You can swim there and row in a rowboat in the summer. Our children enjoyed it at the lake! They also enjoyed themselves at the house with the games and toys. The goats outside are also very nice. In the surrounding area there are many activities to do! For us it was top!

Een heel fijn gezellig huis met heel goede bedden. Huis is heel netjes en heel schoon. Een mooi houten terras rondom het huis met veel zitplekken. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Een prachtige route door het bos brengt je naar een huisje bij een meertje met een steiger. Je kan er heerlijk zwemmen en roeien in een roeibootje in de zomer. Onze kinderen hebben ervan genoten bij het meer! Ook bij het huis vermaakten zij zich goed met de spelletjes en speelgoed. De geiten buiten zijn ook erg leuk.

In de wijde omgeving zijn er vele activiteiten te doen!

A nice house in a beautiful quiet area.

Een fijn huis in een prachtige rustige omgeving.

The cottage is easy to find with a navigation app. There are three bedrooms, with very good firm beds. The house is well insulated. The water from the tap is drinkable. Furthermore, it is ideal for a workcation: perfect, super stable and fast internet. Furthermore, all amenities are present: dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, gas bbq, TV with Apple TV, games (Monopoly in Norwegian, nice to know all the streets of Oslo). The house is surrounded by a wooden terrace, so you can enjoy the sun at any time. Around you, the green is greener greenest. It smells like forest and so is your view.

Het huisje is goed te vinden met een navigatie app. Er zijn drie slaapkamers, met hele goede stevige bedden. Het huis is goed geisoleerd. Het water uit de kraan is drinkbaar. Verder is het ideaal voor een workcation: perfect, super stabiel en snel internet. Verder zijn alle voorzieningen aanwezig: vaatwasser, wasmachine, wasdroger, gas bbq, TV met Apple TV, spelletjes (Monopoly in het Noors, leuk om alle straten van Oslo te leren kennen). Het huis is omgeven door een houten terras, zodat je op elk moment van de zon kan genieten. Om je heen is het groen groener groenst. Het ruikt naar bos en dat is ook je uitzicht.

The cottage is on Harry and Inga-Lill's land in Presterudveien, near Vikersund. The nearest supermarket is 15 minutes away by car. You really are away from the highway for a while. But not alone, around you are a few more cottages and farms. Yet it is deafeningly quiet. Only the bells of the cows and occasionally some birds. The forest is 2 min walk, there you can use a special app to follow beautiful hike routes. It takes some puzzling, but the forest is beautiful. I was with two teenagers and a child of 6. All three found it great and especially the route to the cottage by the lake they found beautiful. Bit exciting because of all the cows running loose that are very curious. But at the lake you can fish, swim, boat. Nearby are cross-country ski trails that are passable in summer. The ground is boggy, but a pair of sturdy shoes will get you there. Harry speaks Dutch and Inga-Lill speaks English, both are very helpful.

Het huisje staat op het land van Harry en Inga-Lill in Presterudveien, vlakbij Vikersund. De dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt is 15 minuten rijden met de auto. Je bent echt even weg van de snelweg. Maar niet alleen, om je heen staan nog een paar huisjes en boerderijen. Toch is het er oorverdovend stil. Alleen de bellen van de koeien en af en toe wat vogels. Het bos is op 2 min. lopen, daar kun je met een speciale app prachtige hike routes volgen. Het is even puzzelen, maar het bos is prachtig. Ik was met twee pubers en kindje van 6. Alledrie vonden ze het geweldig en vooral de route naar het huisje bij het meer vonden ze prachtig. Beetje spannend vanwege alle loslopende koeien die erg nieuwsgierig zijn. Maar bij het meertje kun je vissen, zwemmen, bootje varen. In de buurt zijn langlaufroutes die in de zomer goed begaanbaar zijn. De grond is wel drassig, maar met een paar stevige schoenen kom je er wel. Harry spreekt Nederlands en Inga-Lill spreekt Engels, beiden zijn zeer behulpzaam.

Heerlijk rustige omgeving, veel groen! Je komt er zeker tot rust!
