Nature house in Mariënvelde

The farmhouse was tastefully renovated in 2016 while retaining its original charm and is ideally suited for a family weekend. The house is very spacious and artfully decorated. There is a large, cozy living area with a sitting area, a fireplace, a large dining table, television corner and an open kitchen. The house is a mix of modern and traditional, atmospheric and artistic. The 4 bedrooms downstairs are adjacent to a large hall with large doors to the outside. Also upstairs in addition to the 5 bedrooms is a sitting area & a sauna All bedrooms have enough distance from the large living room for good sleep for early sleepers. Outside, the house offers a large garden with tranquility and plenty of space. There is also a tennis court. There are 4 showers and 4 toilets. If you book from Friday to Sunday, the departure time on Sunday is 19:30 instead of 10:30. NB> Groups of young people, student associations and sports clubs can unfortunately not stay at our location. Inviting extra guests is not desirable

The Achterhoek is known for its coulisse landscape: forest areas interspersed with meadows and fields, villages and farms. This house is located in the middle of this landscape. The beautiful, old, Saxon farmhouse from 1804 is truly a unique place. Cycling or walking in the Achterhoek, that means being surprised after every turn by a beautiful vista or a characteristic wooded bank. You go from woods to meadows & from picturesque villages to historic towns. In the Achterhoek, art is top notch. Museum MORE houses the art collection of Hans Melchers, a collection of national importance for the Netherlands. Museum MORE is located in Gorssel and in Ruurlo. You can further enjoy walks in the many forests of, for example, Ruurlo or Zelhem. Nearby, many church paths have been restored in recent years, so you can enjoy walking through the meadows and the countryside. There are also wine routes, a castle route, forests and nice towns like Doesburg or Lochem.
