Wendy October 30, 2025 General rating:See above, cottage and surroundings were top notch! We will definitely come back again, can't wait. We didn't bike, fish or canoe, but you can do plenty of that there too, from short to long trips.
Zie hierboven, huisje en omgeving waren top! We komen zeker nog een keer terug, ik kan niet wachten. We hebben niet gefietst, gevist of met de kano gevaren, maar dat kun je daar ook volop doen, van korte tot lange tochten.
Nature, peace & environment:It was beautifully situated, with unobstructed views of the beautiful hills and a bit of the Ourthe River. Fairytale-like, and especially at this time of year with all the fall colors. Magnefiek! Cottage was super nice, fully equipped, downstairs 2 bedrooms and upstairs the living area with the great view of nature. A large terrace where you could sit spaciously. The cottage itself is part of a small park and is a few minutes drive from the center of La Roche. Visited the castle yet, was Halloween, which was a very nice experience to explore the castle this way. In the area is plenty to do and explore, le Hérou, beautiful walk with views of the rocks. There are hiking trails everywhere you go, including several from La Roche. You can kayaking, cycling, fishing and hiking or just touring by car through the Ardennes where you drive through small villages / hamlets. I have been in the Ardennes before, but this area was great!

Huisje was super fijn, van alle gemakken voorzien, beneden 2 slaapkamers en boven het woongedeelte met het geweldige uitzicht op de natuur. Een groot terras waar je ruim kon zitten. Het huisje zelf is onderdeel van een kleinschalig park en ligt op een paar minuten autorijden van het centrum van La Roche. Het kasteel nog bezocht, was Halloween, wat een hele leuke ervaring was om zo het kasteel te verkennen. In de omgeving is van alles te doen en te ontdekken, le Hérou, prachtige wandeling met uitzicht op de rotspartijen. Overal waar je bent zijn wandelroutes uitgezet, ook vanuit La Roche diverse. Je kunt kajakken, fietsen, vissen en wandelen of gewoon lekker rondtouren met de auto dwars door de Ardennen waar je door kleine dorpjes/gehuchtjes rijdt. Ben al vaker in de Ardennen geweest, maar deze omgeving vond ik top!
