Nature and surroundings

Located in a rural setting, two kilometers from the center of Sousceyrac. The area is primarily characterized by forestry and livestock farming. The nature house is situated on the foothills of the Central Massif, at an elevation of 600 meters. The spacious, enclosed garden offers complete privacy thanks to a natural barrier. Beautiful views and plenty of opportunities to experience nature. Various bird species. Of course, buzzards and other birds of prey, but the hoopoe and woodpecker are also regularly seen in the garden. The hosts frequently spot roe deer, occasionally a badger, and foxes are regularly spotted throughout the region. The starry sky is breathtaking, with the Milky Way clearly visible. There are many attractions in the area, such as the Gouffre de Padirac and the famous Rocamadour. Within a reasonably short distance from the house: Saint-Ceré, Bretenoux, Loubressac, Autoire, and many castles, including Castelnau near Bretenoux. The Lot department is known for its clean air. There are no train tracks or airports nearby. So enjoy!

Aside from the noise issues, being outdoors is perfect.
The house itself is a bit dated in places and not always practical.

    Nature, peace & environment: 3 /5

The peace and quiet was frequently disturbed by passing trucks and tractors. In addition, road paving work was underway near the house during our stay. This lasted a total of 1.5 weeks.
