This traditional Irish nature house has been owned by Margaret since 1920 and recently restored while retaining its original features, while subtly incorporating modern comforts. The serene, rural location is a perfect destination for the whole family. The traditional Irish kitchen, with tiled floor and fireplace, transports visitors to earlier times in Ireland.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house sits on a hill, sheltered by yellow bushes, and has panoramic views of the surrounding farmland and hills with cows and sheep grazing. Not only the cottage, but the surrounding Fanad area gives you a real feel for traditional Irish culture, as it is in the heart of one of the few remaining Irish-speaking Gaeltacht areas. Traditional Irish hospitality is inherent in the Fanad area. This self-catering house in Donegal is also well located for spectacular blue-flag beaches known for their glorious golden sands.
