Nature house in Benayes

This nature house is ideal for two or three families with (small) children who want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Limousin. The farmhouse is still largely in its original state, but fully equipped. You can enjoy the swimming pond and trampoline, laze on the terraces, play in the tree house or bake a pizza in the bread oven. The house has three bedrooms and a sleeping loft with six beds. There is a large summer kitchen with all amenities and a large terrace overlooking the swimming pond, and there is another smaller kitchen in the main house. There are two bathrooms. In the orchard and pasture surrounding the house (two acres) there is enough space to pitch a few tents. There are towns like Uzerche, St Yrieix and, of course, Limoges, where you can still quietly enjoy the medieval atmosphere. In the summer there are markets in many places where you can buy organic produce from the producers and barbecue on the spot, graced by a local band.

The nature house is located on the border of the departments of Corrèze and Haute Vienne. The hosts find the atmosphere in this region friendly, a bit like Asterix and Obelix. The Limousin is the land of green hills, brown cows and lots of peace and quiet. You can hike and bike well here (with good resistance) and there are still many small villages with Romanesque churches nearby. You have medieval towns here like St. Yrieix and of course Limoges which are hardly set on tourists and have a lot of charm. What makes this region special for the landlords is the lovely scenery that constantly unfolds before you, combined with the mild and pleasant weather in summer. No matter how you trek through it, it feels soothing. You can canoe on the Vézère, horseback riding in the Pompadour area, and there are many lakes for swimming. The Rouffiac water sports center (sails, teleskiing) is 50 minutes away.
