Lovely detached nature house in the middle of the beautiful Zeeland countryside and close to the beach. We have refurbished and modernized this cozy former worker's house from 1904 in recent years, so it is fully equipped. The cottage is perfect for families with 2 or 3 children. From the living room you can walk through the patio doors into the spacious garden with a great view as far as you can see. The beds are made upon arrival, the towels are ready: enjoy! Layout: living room with adjoining new kitchen (2023), including a dishwasher, oven and washing machine. The modern (2016) bathroom with shower and sink as well as the separate toilet are accessible through the kitchen. Next to the living room is the spacious, (parents') bedroom containing a double bed and a beautiful high ceiling. The stairs next to the kitchen lead you to the landing (with 2 extra beds) and the 2nd separate (children's) bedroom, with 2 single beds.
Nature and surroundings
In and around this nature house you are always in contact with the beautiful Zeeland nature and fields. The garden with endless lawn is behind the house (not fenced) with an impressive Willow tree (with nest-swing!) and a great view as far as you can see. There is a barbeque, outdoor table, spacious terrace and a trampoline. To explore the area, the location is perfect with the beach and fine beach bars in Breskens less than 10 (car) minutes away or a nice bike ride of 20 minutes. The village center of Schoondijke is around the corner with a small supermarket and great butcher for the BBQ! Rather eat out? That's possible too: from a small bite in bistro De Buut in the village to luxury food in 1880 in Groede or the Kromme Watergang, a star restaurant. Extensive shopping can be done in Sluis, Knokke, Bruges and Ghent. The garden is shared with our other cottage, but is large enough to enjoy peace and privacy.

Arlette December 30, 2025 General rating:We had no contact with the owners because of which we also had problems to get inside, fortunately there were neighbors who helped us. Afterwards we tried to make contact but we did not succeed!
We hebben geen kontakt gehad met de eigenaars waar door we ook problemen hadden met binnen te geraken,gelukkig waren er buren die ons geholpen hebben.
Nadien wel geprobeerd voor kontakt te maken maar niet gelukt!Nature, peace & environment:The downstairs was fine,the upstairs was very messy and dangerous to go up,steep stairs with no handrail, also you had to be careful not to bump your head!
De benedenverdieping was in orde,de bovenverdieping was zeer rommelig en gevaarlijk om naar boven te gaan,steil trapje zonder leuning, ook moest je uitkijken dat je u hoofd niet stoote!

There is plenty to do in the area, we enjoyed cycling along the coast and took the Scheldt ferry to Walcheren for a day. Belgium is close, Ghent and Bruges are easy to reach if you want to go there for a day.We had a great week.
Fijn huisje, knus en gezellig ingericht. Huisje was schoon. Heerlijke tuin met prachtige treurwilg. Fijn en wijds uitzicht. Prachtige wolkenluchten. Als je niet van grote commerciële parken houdt is dit een prima plek.
Het enige wat we misten was een prullenbakje in de badkamer en het toilet.
In de omgeving is genoeg te doen, we hebben heerlijk gefietst langs de kust en zijn met de Scheldeferry een dag naar Walcheren geweest. België is dichtbij, Gent en Brugge zijn prima te bereiken als je daar een dag naar toe wilt.
