Nature house in Garnwerd

This farm is located in the middle of the meadow bird area of the Reitdiepdal. The silence here is unique! All you hear are the wind and the birds. The view is wide, you can see the weather coming from afar. The apartment is fully equipped; you can cook in the nature house (stove and combi-oven), you have your own entrance and a terrace with garden. The whole apartment has floor heating, private bedroom, bathroom and living kitchenette. At five minutes walking distance is Garnwerd. This beautiful, old village has two fine restaurants with terrace where you can sit and eat. From the apartment you can see café Hammingh, this café is one of the oldest of the Hogeland!

Nature is still overwhelming here. During the breeding season, the fields, with the tall grass, are full of nesting birds, from godwits to goldfinches. Sit on a bench and you'll be short of ears and eyes! On the Gentlemen's side of the farm you can sit and enjoy the evening sun. The sunsets are usually spectacular! The Reitdiepdal is ideally suited for hiking or biking. Go in the direction of Aduarderzijl and take the ferry to Schaphalsterzijl. Enjoy beautiful Winsum with its old center and stately homes. Then walk or bike on to the church of Klein Wetsinge for a good glass of wine or coffee with homemade pastries, and don't forget to walk up and enjoy the view! From Wetsinge you can take the shortcut back to the farm, a day doesn't get more beautiful than this!
