Very practical and well-utilized cottage with sauna and walks from the front door. Beautiful village, we were very satisfied. Lots of daylight and nice greenhouse to sit in after the sauna in the garden

Heel praktisch en goed ge-utileerd huisje met sauna en wandeltochten vanaf de voordeur.
Mooi dorpje, wij waren erg tevreden. Veel daglicht en fijne kas om in te zitten na de sauna in de tuin

Spacious house with lots of potential but unfortunately in need of refreshment and repairs: my husband fell through a bed (one leg was completely loose with missing screws), the curtains were hanging loose or missing here and there, in one room it was full of flies / mosquitoes swatted to death, there were missing bowls that fit in the microwave, occasionally we saw that dust was not sufficiently removed, stains on one of the comforters ... Too bad because the house in itself is really OK: spacious and bright, OK for disabled people (maybe a little too low toilet downstairs), the chance to rent sheets and towels in addition, ideal for our dogs with a finished garden (fence +/- 90 cm high), you are in itself quite close to the neighbors but still have enough privacy. We reported the shortcomings directly to the owner as a courtesy but then we did not hear anything from them....

Ruim huis met zeer veel potentieel maar dat helaas toch wel opfrissing en herstellingen nodig heeft: mijn man is door een bed gezakt (een poot zat helemaal los met ontbrekende schroeven), de gordijnen hingen her en der los of ontbraken, in één kamer hing het vol doodgemepte vliegen/ muggen, er ontbraken kommen die in de microgolf passen, af en toe zagen we dat stof onvoldoende werd afgenomen, vlekken op één van de donsdekens... Jammer want het huis op zich is echt wel OK: ruim en licht, OK voor mindervaliden (misschien iets te laag toilet beneden), de kans om lakens en handdoeken bij te huren, ideaal voor onze honden met een afgemaakte tuin (omheining +/- 90 cm hoog), je zit op zich vrij dicht tegen de buren maar toch heb je voldoende privacy. We hebben de tekortkomingen uit beleefdheid rechtstreeks aan de eigenaar gemeld maar daarna niets meer van hen vernomen...

Beautiful location in the spacious surroundings of Houffalize. For a bakery or butcher or supermarket you have to drive a bit but you get peace and quiet in return both during the day and at night. Beautiful walks where the car could just stay at home.

Prachtige ligging in de ruime omgeving van Houffalize. Voor een bakker of slager of supermarkt moet je wel een eindje rijden maar je krijgt er wel rust en stilte voor in de plaats zowel overdag als 's nachts. Prachtige wandelingen gedaan waarbij de auto gewoon thuis kon blijven staan.

Fantastic cottage with great amenities. Breakfast outside in the morning sun with great views and cows at the gate. Good beds and nice sauna room. Previous reviews indicated it was not as clean, but with us it was perfectly clean. The only downside is that the distance to chouffalize (bike rental) and to the brewery of la chouffe was disappointing to us. That's also where the mountain bike trails and restaurant are. We wanted to do that on the bike, but took the car anyway.

Fantastisch huisje met goede voorzieningen. Buiten ontbijten in het ochtendzonnetje met heerlijk uitzicht en koeien aan het hek. Goede bedden en mooie sauna ruimte. Eerdere reviews gaven aan dat het niet zo schoon was, maar bij ons was het prima schoon.
Het enige minpuntje is dat de afstand naar chouffalize (fietsverhuur) en naar de brouwerij van la chouffe ons tegenviel. Daar zijn ook de mountainbike routes en de restaurantje. We wilden dat op de fiets doen, maar hebben toch maar de auto genomen.
