Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located on the border of Friesland and Drenthe, the Drents Friese Wold. It has unobstructed views of the varied scenery. Beautiful hedgerows between the meadows with varied trees. Here live the deer, badgers, hares and many bird species. Especially in the morning and evening twilight there is a chance to spot wildlife. Binoculars are available. It is still really dark here, so on a clear day you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky. Experience the silence and darkness on our sandy path, far from traffic, streetlights On cycling distance are a number of nature reserves, Drents Friese Wold, Doldersumseveld, Aekingerzand, Fochteloerveen , Wapserveld and the Dwingelerveld. The Weerribben, Oranjewoud and Giethoorn are also worth visiting. Tired of all the trips, then a sauna visit in Boijl at Het Friese Woud is a must.
