Relax in this restored nature house from the 18th and 19th century with a unique location in the village center of Zerkegem, one of the rural villages of the municipality of Jabbeke near Bruges. The nature house has a fully equipped kitchen (fridge with freezer, electric stove, combination oven, dishwasher), dining table with chairs, sitting area, TV with DVD, wireless internet, direct dial telephone, bathroom with bath and shower, toilet, terrace with garden furniture and beds for up to four people in two bedrooms (one double bed and two single beds).
Nature and surroundings
The yard of this nature house is surrounded by meadows and arable land. The presence of many small landscape elements such as hedges, hedges, pollard willows, orchard and cattle drinking pool invites to nature observation (squirrels, hares, small birds of prey, bats, field birds, amphibians, butterflies, et cetera). It is an ideal base for exploring both the art city of Bruges and the Flemish coast. The Bruges Ommeland offers everything for an active vacation and culinary enjoyment. The 52-hectare nature reserve De Hoge Dijken, which stretches across Zerkegem and Ettelgem (Oudenburg) is accessible daily. Guided nature walks and observations are also regularly organized. The Masko forests are the remains of an old production forest with coppice. There are also beautiful drives with pedunculate oaks, Douglas firs and beeches. The main nature reserve of the region is the Zwin; the "international airport for birds."
