Completely away from the crowd, with no internet and little mobile coverage, is this nature house. It is fairly isolated among the trees at the back of the meadow of the Olmuhle in Kollig, on the Elzbach. The room is furnished entirely according to nature style with a double bed with storage space, dining area, two chairs and a pellet stove. If you open the doors, from your bed you have a wide view of the meadow, the stream and the forest. One guest of the nature house described this space as very zen; where he felt at one with nature. The space also has a mini-fridge, coffee maker, kettle and microwave. The 'Badehaus' is within walking distance and has 2 luxury rain showers, an outdoor shower and 2 toilets. There is also our fully equipped outdoor kitchen with herb garden, a joy to cook in.
Nature and surroundings
Nature and tranquility are the hallmark of this location. When you arrive, driving along the forest path along the Elzbach, you imagine yourself in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by forest, a beautiful waterfall just steps away and of course the Elzbach at your feet. The nearest neighbors are one kilometer away and the village of Kollig is 1.2 kilometers away. At night only the stars and the sounds of the forest, the stream, the eagle owl or a deer. In the morning you wake up to the singing of the birds and the sound of the stream. But of course there are also numerous bird species, you are not staying in a Natur- en Vogelschutzgebiet for nothing. However, when you are two kilometers away from the nature house, a beautiful, hilly landscape unfolds. In spring a painting with the yellow patches of rapeseed, in winter a winter wonderland picture. You literally only have to take two turns to admire the beauty of the Vulkaneifel....
