The large stelp farm Nijelinde is located n Nijetrijne on the small river Linde, on the border of Overijssel and Friesland. The garden of this nature house is surrounded by the nature of the Rottige Meente. This unique nature reserve with rare animal and plant species (otters, fireflies and crab beds) is a paradise for bird lovers and an inspiring environment for artists and photographers. In the morning you may be awakened by the sound of flapping storks. In the evening you will be surprised by the beautiful colors of the sunset. For cyclists and hikers, the centuries-old "Footpath" along the Scheene River is highly recommended. You can also make fantastic kayak trips on the Scheene.
