In the southern part of the Dordogne Valley, this detached nature house with an open garden, sheltered terraces and private heated pool (from mid-May to late September) is located among walnut groves, in the rural village of Juillac. Juillac consists of 25 individual houses occupied by French farmers, among others. It is only a few kilometers from the idyllic towns of St. Pompon and Daglan. Within 15 kilometers you will find several famous castles, such as those of Castelnaud, Beynac and Les Milandes. A little further along the Dordogne River is the town of La Roque Cageac, once voted the most beautiful place in France; and if you have been there you will understand why.
Nature and surroundings
The Dordogne is in the Aquitaine region, east of Bordeaux, in southwestern France. It is green, quiet and cozy, with beautiful, characteristic villages and beautiful nature. The Périgord-Noir, where the nature house is located, is a part of the Dordogne. The landscape of the Pérogord-Noir provides many surprises: wooded plateaus interspersed with picturesque valleys and numerous orchards and walnut groves. Man, from prehistoric times to the present, left his traces there. The Périgord-Noir owes its name to the presence of vast, dense forests of holm and hare oaks with black trunks and dense, dark foliage. The Périgord-Noir includes two of the most beautiful valleys: the valley of the Dordogne and the valley of Vézère. You can visit numerous beautiful villages, castles, gardens and caves. For sports enthusiasts: canoeing, cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, golf, swimming, ballooning, hiking.... After a relaxing day in the Périgord-Noir you can enjoy all the delicacies of the region: foie gras, truffles, walnuts, fresh fruit, mushrooms, delicious cheeses, sausages and pâtés. And all this topped with heavenly wines....
