The chalet in the French Alps, Savoie department (1050 kilometers from Utrecht), is located 350 meters above the Maurienne valley. The lower floor, 70 square meters, is rented as a nature house. Here is a complete vacation accommodation with toilet, bathroom with bathtub/shower and washing machine, bedroom with double bed and three single beds, kitchenette with microwave/oven, large sitting/bedroom en suite with double sofa bed and a double folding bed, TV (with Dutch channels), DVD, radio/CD player, WiFi and wood stove. The apartment has a private entrance and a private garden with garden chairs. The car can be parked right next to the front door. In the summer you can use the private pool (if the family is there). The landlords are often in France. From the apartment you have a beautiful view of the Belledonne mountain range across the valley. Because of the large amount of private land and the adjacent forest, you experience a sea of peace and space in this place. In the forest there is a climbing garden with zip line for children.
Nature and surroundings
Nearby are many opportunities for mountain sports (paragliding, gliding, hiking and climbing). Cyclists can also have a great time. In the summer there are several pass routes to ride from La Chambre over the Col de la Madeleine (2000 meters), the Col du Glandon (1900 meters), Col de la Croix de Fer (2100 meters) and the Col du Galibier (2700 meters). Down in the valley in summer, under the supervision of a lifeguard, you can swim for free in the lake. There are several interesting small towns near the nature house. A little further away are large cities such as Albertville (50 kilometers) and Chambery (60 kilometers). There are also nice trips to cities such as Annecy (90 kilometers), Chamonix (115 kilometers) and Turin (150 kilometers).
